Prodcut Name:Boron Carbide

Product Description

Boron carbide (chemical formula approximately B4C) is an extremely hard man-made material used as an abrasive and refractory and in control rods in nuclear reactors, ultrasonic drilling, metallurgy and numerous industrial applications. With a Mohs hardness of about 9.497, it is one of the hardest materials known, behind cubic boron nitride and diamond. Its outstanding properties are extreme hardness, corrosion resistance to many reactive chemicals, excellent hot strength, very low specific gravity and high elastic modulus.
