Product Description

Chrome Alumina is produced by electrically fusing aluminum oxide with chrome oxide at high temperature. It is in pink color, so also named as pink fused alumina. Its hardness is close to white fused alumina, but the toughness is higher than white fused alumina.

The chrome alumina is especially suitable for the manufacturing vitrified bonded abrasives for working hardened steels and alloys. It is also used in tool grinding, knife-sharpening applications, precision grinding, profile grinding, flute grinding, tooth grinding, dry grinding of blade segments and mounted wheels. Further it is a preferred material for working non-ferrous metals and the alloys (copper, aluminum, zinc, brass, Bronze).
